Keane, Inc. announced today that its Healthcare Solutions Division (HSD) has completed the enterprise-wide deployment of its Patcom revenue cycle management (RCM) solution at 107 HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospitals. HealthSouth, the nation’s largest provider of inpatient rehabilitative healthcare services, partnered with Keane to standardize workflow, improve operations, and enhance the revenue cycle process of its inpatient facilities.

Keane and HealthSouth engaged in a complete redesign of the rehabilitation provider’s process flows using Patcom as the enabling technology. The project culminated in the implementation of a flexible RCM solution that supports the distinct business models of HealthSouth’s inpatient rehab environments. Keane and HealthSouth adhered to a rigorous installation schedule, achieving the successful implementation of 107 facilities in just over two years.

"The improved access to accounts receivable (AR) information and the successful implementation across our portfolio of hospitals puts us in a great position to impact AR days on day one," said David Klementz, HealthSouth Senior Vice President and CFO of Inpatient Operations. "It is truly a testament to the combined talent of the implementation team as well as the Patcom solution."

Keane’s Patcom product is a widely installed revenue cycle management (RCM) solution that helps hospitals of all sizes increase revenue and cash flow, decrease days outstanding for accounts receivables, and improve the revenue cycle process. Patcom offers flexibility in screen design, data capture, billing and reimbursement that address the needs of both the acute care and inpatient rehabilitation provider.

"We are very pleased to reach this important milestone within such an impressive timeframe," said Larry Coon, Keane’s Director of Client Services. "The synergy between Keane and HealthSouth has been tremendous from the start, working collaboratively to design and aggressively install a resilient solution that meets the financial and care delivery goals of the corporation and its facilities. We view this success as a testament to the strong working relationship we’ve established with HealthSouth as well as our significant experience helping healthcare organizations to improve their business process and IT challenges."
