Debt collection agency FMA Alliance Tuesday announced a recent donation to the American Cancer Society through its Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk.

FMA plays an active role with its local community and charities and recently submitted its “Making Strides” contribution. Employees created a committee that held numerous fundraisers and aligned sponsorship donations for the American Cancer Society walk.

With a commitment from FMA Alliance to match up to $2500 for the event, the team set out with an initial goal to raise $500.

On May 7, 2011 in Houston, 42 employees of FMA and its owners Jeff Spiegelhauer and Doyle Burkett participated in the American Cancer Society walk.

The final donations raised by the FMA “Making Strides” team was $3,189.26 with the FMA Corporate match of $2500 the group was proud to submit a check to American Cancer Society representatives Jessica Vance and Kate Little in the amount of $5,689.26.
