Net Gain Marketing, Inc. (NGM) today proudly announced that its style guide was distributed yesterday by ACA International (ACA) to Healthcare Services Program (HSP) members as a part of the organization’s Request for Proposal (RFP) resource materials included within the January 2009 issue of HSP News.

The NGM Style Guide is a comprehensive set of standards for copywriting, grammar, and usage that NGM personnel use to create RFP responses for clients in markets to include healthcare, government, higher education, utility, financial, and others.  The guide features rules standardizing how writers and editors should handle common elements of writing typically left to interpretation in the credit and collection industry.  Examples of what is covered in the style guide include when and how to use capitalization, the difference between ensure and insure, and whether the process of finding debtors should be referred to as skip-tracing, skip tracing, or skiptracing.

“As an ACA affiliate member that has published literally thousands of pages of RFP responses per year for clients since 2003, we were pleased to contribute to ACA’s efforts to provide continuing education and resources to its members,” stated NGM President Nick Bernardo.  He continued, “Because an RFP process is sometimes the only way a creditor interacts with an agency before making a buying decision, quality writing matters.  If our style guide can help agencies win more business by enabling them to deliver a more professional presentation, we’re glad to provide it.”

Those interested in obtaining a copy of the NGM Style Guide are encouraged either to join ACA International or contact Nick Bernardo at 877-533-1680, x701.
