St. Paul, MN – I.C. System, one of America’s largest accounts receivable management firms, announced it has been named to the 2009 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.  Inc. magazine used percentage of revenue growth from 2005 through 2008 in compiling its exclusive, annual list.  Ranked at 4,349, I.C. System is among just a few collection agencies listed.  The 5,000 companies represent 25 industries and all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.

“Throughout our 71 years, we’ve focused on being the best, most trusted receivables management company…never on being one of the largest or fastest-growing ones,” said Barbara Erickson, I.C. System’s Chairman.  “However, we’re very honored to be on the Inc. 5000 list as it confirms we’ve been successful while always doing things the right way and it signifies the trust our clients have in us.  Additionally, the ranking speaks highly of our quality employees and their dedication.”

The 2009 Inc. 5000 serves as a unique report card on the U.S. economy.  Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126 percent.  The Inc. 5000 companies have created more than 1 million jobs, demonstrating the tremendous impact that private, fast-growing companies have on the economy.
