Tampa, Fla.-based ProVest, a national process server management company dedicated to improving the default servicing industry, announced that it opened an office in Maryland to support the state’s home retention efforts. The new office provides local attorneys and mortgage servicers with resources necessary to meet Maryland’s emergency legislation requiring a private process server to attempt to personally notify homeowners of the intent to foreclose.

Located at 10440 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, Md., the office is ProVest’s fifteenth branch nationwide. The company currently partners with all of Maryland’s most noted and trusted legal firms to help manage the state’s foreclosure volume and improve its default servicing.

“Maryland’s new legislation positions homeowners to make timely, educated decisions that ultimately benefit the entire industry,” said John S. Burson, managing partner at Shapiro & Burson, LLP. “We are glad to be part of the solution, and we could not have made this happen so quickly and efficiently without the help of ProVest. The company’s breadth of knowledge and flexibility, combined with its industry expertise, make it a trusted partner that we can rely on to meet the high volume demand for personal service with homeowners.”

“We are all eager to help Maryland’s firms successfully navigate this new process,” said Scott Strady, CEO of ProVest. “ProVest is dedicated to improving the default servicing industry in any way possible. Maryland is taking strong actions to amend its mortgage crisis, and we will do everything in our power to make that happen as quickly as possible”

In addition to its Maryland office, Tampa-based ProVest also has offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Columbia and Charleston, S.C.; Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo, Ohio; Dallas, Texas, Elmhurst and Chicago, Illinois, Indianapolis, Indiana, Long Island, N.Y, and Oklahoma City, Okla. The company continues to expand to meet the continually increasing default industry needs and will continue to add new branches in the near future.

ProVest leverages industry expertise and technology to manage the service of process for companies specializing in default law. The company works with some of the most noted and trusted legal firms in the business with a goal of continuing to streamline the manner in which documents are served.
