A U.S.-based provider of business process outsourcing services with operations in India has announced the opening of another service center in the Asian nation that will employ some 200 people.

Technosoft Corporation, headquartered in Southfield, Mich., will open a development center in Bangalore, India. The company already employs around 350 people at an office in Chennai, India. In addition to the India locations, Technosoft has offices in New Jersey and Minneapolis. Technosoft employs more than 400 people in the U.S.

The company was founded in 1996 as an IT outsourcer that leveraged a labor pool in India for clients in the U.S. in need of technology workers. Technosoft broke into BPO services in 2003, catering to healthcare clients. According to an article in Business Standard, Technosoft had revenues of $50 million in 2006.

Technosoft provides its healthcare clients with billing, claims processing, ARM, and debt collection services, in addition to other services. The company also has clients in the financial services, government, healthcare, manufacturing and utilities industries.
