American Profit Recovery, a collection agency based in Michigan and Massachusetts, along with many employees are gearing up to participate in the Professional Landcare Network PLANET Day of Service. American Profit Recovery works closely with lawn care and landscaping companies around the county so the partnership is a natural.

The second annual event takes place on Earth Day, April 22, 2010. This year, APR will take on the challenge of helping a number of organizations near their three office cities: Marlborough, MA, Farmington Hills, MI and Charlotte, NC. They will be partnering with many employees to achieve these goals.

Projects Include:

Marlborough, Mass: Employment Options, a nonprofit organization that helps individuals recover from mental illness, giving them employment opportunities and other valuable life skills. The APR team will clean up the grounds, remove old tree stumps and bark mulch the areas around the parking lot and building. Helping out and donating to the project will be Read Landscaping Supply, Inc. based in Walpole Massachusetts.

Farmington Hills, MI: The APR team will work with Kensington MetroPark’s staff to help combat three invasive plant species in the park as well as tending to the gardens around the Nature Center. APR will take on the challenge of laying out compost, layering mulch and woodchips, weeding and other related tasks around the 5000 acre park that includes: nature and biking trails, beaches, fishing and boating areas, picnic areas, a nature center and a farm center.

In 2009, collection agency American Profit Recovery made their debut in the PLANET event by providing manpower to plant flowers and landscape as well as providing funding to help beautify public areas in Massachusetts, Michigan and North Carolina. Local landscapers in each area teamed with APR employees to restore and rejuvenate areas in each community that everyone enjoys. APR was part of more than 285 projects and around 2,000 volunteers in a total of 43 states and Canada to participate in the PLANET initiative.

“American Profit Recovery is dedicated to supporting worthy causes in communities to give back to residents and consumers,” said Jeff DiMatteo, partner at American Profit Recovery. “We are excited to get out of the office and help clean up and rejuvenate these areas and we are pleased to participate in an event that helps us demonstrate our desire to be different from other collection agencies.”

Collection agency American Profit Recovery is one of five Lead Sponsors for the 2010 PLANET Day of Service including: Agrium Advanced Technologies, JOHN DEERE, Lawns by Yorkshire, Inc., and Shindaiwa. APR has donated thousands of dollars to charity since they opened their doors in 2004 and is bringing their charitable and community endeavors to the next level through the PLANET event.
