Core Solutions Inc., a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM) consulting services to small and mid-size companies throughout New England, announced Monday that it has signed an agreement to purchase substantially all the assets of Computer Control Corporation of Rocky Hill, CT. This merger will effectively double the size of Core Solutions’ business.

Core Solutions is one of the top 20 resellers of GoldMine in the country, is in the top 30 for Sage CRM SalesLogix, and is a leading provider of Microsoft CRM software. Computer Control Corporation is one of the largest GoldMine resellers in New England. Both companies also have a strong Microsoft CRM business. The two companies’ New England markets overlap, but each has strengths in different states. Computer Control Corp. will operate as a separate division of Core Solutions and will retain its name.

“Since Computer Control Corp. has a similar business model to ours and works with similar products, there is a real synergy between the two organizations. This acquisition provides an easy way for us to grow rapidly and strengthen our position in New England,” said Scott Weiss, president and founder of Core Solutions, Inc. “It will also benefit our clients by allowing us to expand our training to include Computer Control Corporation’s strong web-based training.”

“It’s a good marriage between two very strong consulting firms,” said Joel Scott, who founded Computer Control Corp. 21 years ago. Scott is the author of “GoldMine for Dummies” and co-author of “Microsoft CRM for Dummies”.

Joel Scott will remain with the company, providing the strength of his leadership and easing the transition. By leaving the ownership position, he will be able to dedicate more time to writing. “We’re excited to add Joel to our management team,” said Weiss. “His depth in the field will be very valuable to our clients and to us as we expand.”

“Core Solutions will now be by far the largest reseller of GoldMine in New England,” said Paul Petersen, Senior Director of the CRM Division at FrontRange Solutions, publisher of GoldMine. “Both companies have a record of excellent service to customers.”

The agreement is expected to be completed in January 2007. Terms were not disclosed.
