Houston, TX-based GC Services, one of the largest debt collecting firms in the business, is investing $1.9 million into a new call center in Huntington, West Virginia. The move will add about 300 jobs to the local economy.

GC Services contracts with Fortune 500 companies throughout the world providing debt collection, customer service functions, receivables management, and strategic business intelligence.

“These jobs will be good-paying jobs and provide a complete benefits package with medical insurance and long-term disability,” Brent Marsteller, president and CEO of Cabell Huntington Hospital and Huntington Area Development Council?s vice chairman, told the Herald Dispatch

Mark A. Schordock, senior vice president operations for GC Services, said Wednesday was an important day for his company: “Back in 1998 when we first opened our doors on the east side of Huntington, we had no idea how successful this partnership was going to be,” he said. “So when we started looking at options for a new center, naturally Huntington was a top choice.”
