Senate Banking Committee yesterday approved legislation that would reduce or eliminate regulations that affect banks, savings institutions and credit unions, according to a story today by Reuters. Many of the regulations have been deemed as repetitive and obsolete.


Sen. Michael Crapo (R-ID) said during the committee?s consideration of the bill that the legislation ?is a compromise for all sides.?
