Affiliated Computer Services (NYSE: ACS) announced today it has paid $8 million in cash to buy a Wisconsin-based provider of health care data analytics and productivity management services.

Dallas-based Affiliated is a national leader in providing back office operations for firms including financial institutions and health care providers. Affiliated’s Informed Health division supports a reported 23 million program recipients, processing nearly 550 million Medicaid health care claims annually worth $50 billion.

Affiliated reports it bought Bowers & Assoc., a provider of modeling, profiling, reporting and health risk prediction tools.

It serves 225,000 plan members in the government and commercial sectors. Revenues in the previous 12 months were $6 million, according to an Affiliated press release.
