eCredit, a leading provider of online solutions for commercial credit and collections professionals, today announced that KB Home, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, has selected eCredit to manage credit risk associated with sub-contractors and vendors.

"KB Home subcontracts to home-building vendors such as electrical companies, roofing companies, and plumbing companies, and we are exposed if any of these parties has a derogatory credit issue against them," said Deborah Broom, Senior Vice President, Risk Management, KB Home. "eCredit will allow us to take the subjectivity out of the vendor selection process and minimize our overall credit risk."

KB Home will also use eCredit workflow automation to speed processing on vendor credit risk assessment. eCredit’s web-based application will enable analysts to approve or reject vendors and any credit risks requiring further review can be automatically re-routed to those with the proper permissions. "We selected eCredit because we were looking for real-time processing and a flexible workflow platform that would allow us to apply our own business processes," continued Broom.

"The selection of eCredit by KB Home demonstrates the growing reach and capabilities of our solutions," said Jim Swift, eCredit President and CEO. "Not only does eCredit provide market-leading commercial credit and collections tools, but we also enable organizations to access the information they need to make better business credit decisions."
