Founded in 1983, FMA Alliance, Ltd. helped lead the compliance movement long before client audits, regulator audits and the upcoming Consumer Protection Finance Bureau audits were the norm. FMA solidified its commitment to compliance, consistency and client satisfaction through its participation in ACA International’s Professional Practices Management System (PPMS).

Receiving the PPMS designation from ACA International is very prestigious in the ARM industry, and FMA was at the forefront of the PPMS movement. By doing so, FMA has shown its commitment to the 18 elements identified by ACA International as being the backbone of a strong organization and those critical elements have rapidly become the standards for collection agencies and clients focused on security, compliance and technologically advanced collection processes.

Since 2002, FMA has created, utilized, updated and maintained processes defined by work instructions, designated forms and reference materials to remain in compliance with the PPMS program. This year FMA received it’s designation as a PPMS Certified company for the 11th year.

In a letter dated June 1, 2012, Ted Smith, COO of ACA International, told FMA, “As an ACA Certified Agency, you are part of an elite group moving the industry forward toward greater excellence.” FMA is proud of that distinction.

FMA not only utilizes the PPMS system to refine processes but also to ensure client satisfaction. As new client specific reporting requirements and audit documentation requirements evolve, FMA’s use of the PPMS system allows us to quickly implement the new processes. Not only are they implemented in a timely manner, but they also become a permanent part of PPMS so that adjustments to requirements can easily be made. FMA clients have been particularly pleased with the consistency of the documentation and the ease with which they can conduct their audits.

FMA – higher standards, higher quality – it’s all there in black and white.
