The city of Macon, GA is going after parking-ticket scofflaws as part of a wider effort to increase fee and fine collections across the board.


Macon’s Municipal Court is about to finalize an agreement with the Georgia Department of Revenue that will give its collections arm access to the state’s electronic database of motor vehicles. That would allow the city’s private collections company, ACS, to track down people with past-due tickets, Municipal Court Clerk John Pattan said.
