Potential Collection Call Center Draws Biggest Crowd at Job Fair

That sound you?re hearing is hundreds of Missourian fingers crossing in hope that big-time debt collection agency National Asset Recovery Group and its estimated 350 jobs will settle in Cape Girardeau.

Hundreds of Show Me-staters turned out for a job fair where NARS, along with 51 other businesses, took the employment temperature of the area. The job fair, sponsored by the Southeast Missourian, provided an opportunity for economic development officials and civic leaders to attempt to convince NARS executives to locate in Cape Girardeau.

NARS, founded by Cape Girardeau native Chris Buehrle in 1993, could make a decision by the end of the month.
