Equifax Inc., the largest U.S. credit reporting company, on Friday said its board of directors authorized the company to buy back up to $250 million of its stock.


The buyback is equal to about 5 percent to 6 percent of Equifax’s shares, based on the current stock price and reported shares outstanding.
