LINCOLN, Neb. – The collection agency license of Medical Management Consultants Inc. of Lincoln has been revoked for violation of state law.

The Nebraska Collection Agency Licensing Board revoked the company’s license for failing to report to and pay money in a timely manner to five clients, and for failing to maintain financial responsibility. Gary L. Kitt is the company’s president.

The board took the action after holding a hearing in the case on March 23.

Secretary of State John Gale serves as chairman of the Collection Agency Licensing Board, and his office oversees the licensing of collection agencies doing business in Nebraska.

“It’s important for the board to protect the public by requiring collection agencies to maintain the high financial standards set out in state law,” Gale said.
