The Advisory Board for the Process Serving Standards Summit approved voluntary standards for the collection industry late yesterday. The voluntary standards will be discussed and amended at the upcoming Summit to be held in Denver July 10-11, 2012.

Already participating at the Summit will be litigation management from two major national creditors including a top bank, the three largest debt buyers, all six of the top national legal networks, three of the four top process servers, and many important collection law firms.   Also Judge Mary Celeste of the Denver County Court has just been announced as a co-presenter with Jacques Machol III for the “Process Serving and Collection Litigation” session.

Some other agenda highlights include, Patrick J. Morris, CEO of ACA International and a standards industry veteran, presenting “Industry Standards: An Experienced View.”  Scott Levine, President of JJL Process, will describe the latest developments in “New Technology and Process Serving.”  The Summit’s welcome address will be delivered by David Silverman, President of the Colorado Creditor Bar Association and Managing Member of Silverman/Borenstein.
