First Advantage Acquires DataSec UK Ltd

First Advantage Corporation, a global risk mitigation and business solutions provider, today announced the expansion of its presence in Europe with the acquisition of DataSec UK, Ltd., a computer forensics and electronic discovery services company. In addition, First Advantage is expanding its European operations by opening offices in central London and Brussels.

Based in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, DataSec provides computer forensic and electronic discovery services, which involve the acquisition, analysis and presentation of computer-related evidence by experts. DataSec has an established client base that primarily consists of law firms, financial institutions and corporations in the United Kingdom and central Europe. The company has played an integral role in achieving multi-million-pound financial settlements in several civil cases. It also offers consulting services to help clients assess, manage, review and control the risks associated with computer technology in the workplace.

First Advantage, through a recently created subsidiary, First Advantage Eurasia Litigation Consulting, has acquired the company to establish a European base of operations for its Litigation Consulting Services unit, into which DataSec will be integrated. As part of First Advantage, DataSec’s employees will operate a new office being established nearby in central London. In addition, First Advantage has opened an office and a data center in Brussels, which is being staffed with forensic, investigative and technical professionals.
