Ontario Systems announced today that Convergent Resources, Inc. (CRI) has selected its Guaranteed Contacts IP solution to deliver right-party contact functionality. A leading telecommunications and bank card agency, CRI sought a solution with exceptional functionality and a lower total cost of ownership. CRI was outsourcing nearly 2 million minutes of RPC talk time on a monthly basis.

“We thoroughly explored all of the voice broadcasting options available today, and even tested several different providers. We selected GCIP because of the inherent value in its integration to our collection platform,” said Derek Whitaker, CRI’s chief technology officer. “It offers a lower total cost of ownership, is strategically flexible and scalable, and is far easier to use and manage.”

The integrated GCIP solution delivers specific advantages required by CRI:

  • Identifies the state of the agent, inherently knowing how many are available to handle right party calls, eliminating need for a segregated call group, allowing all agents to handle in-bound and out-bound calls
  • Account number screen pops, superior to ANI lookup
  • Capability for agent to transfer call to pre-recorded Foti-compliant message if an answering machine is connected
  • Capability for automated transfer of answering machine to the interactive voice response system without agent intervention
  • Ability to serve multiple locations with an on-premise solution using VoIP from a centralized data center

“Guaranteed Contacts IP is revolutionary platform for our industry. Under the premise of enterprise wide telephony, we are delivering a wider array of services, more choices in configuration, and better integration to existing solutions,” said, Doug Allgood, Ontario Systems’ vice president of research and development. “Simply put, it’s better, faster and simpler to use.”

Launched in January 2008, GCIP is a modular platform. It can provide a complete telephony infrastructure, including PBX functionality. Because it is a complete enterprise platform, it also allows organizations to purchase only the modules they need. GCIP allows organizations to take advantage of the latest technology to improve functionality and productivity while enjoying tremendous cost savings. It is available integrated to Ontario Systems’ collection platform, as a stand alone telephony platform interacting with any collection application and soon will be available in an on-demand hosted platform.
