First of all, I love Angry Birds. As a professional in his mid-30s with a wife and two kids, I should be ashamed to admit that, but I’m not because the game is so awesome. There is one feature of Angry Birds, however, that does give me pause.

One banner ad currently in heavy rotation on the Angry Birds game is for an app called PrivacyStar. With this program, say the developers, you can block unknown and unwanted calls from your smartphone. It started as a database sync with the FTC’s Do Not Call list, which made it easier to block and simultaneously report calls from restricted parties to numbers on the list.

But PrivacyStar figured out very quickly that there is demand to block one set of callers not covered by the Do Not Call list: debt collectors.
