Dell Inc. plans to add about 5,000 workers to its Indian call centers over the next two years, CEO Kevin Rollins told reporters in Delhi last week.

The company will increase its Indian call center staff from 10,000 to about 15,000 by 2008, Rollins said.

The expansion will include the opening of a fourth Indian call center in Gurgaon, which is near Delhi. It will open by the end of this year and employ between 700 and 1,000 workers, according to Dell.
